Pro bono services for Healing Reigns included designing an additional office area on a mezzanine level and reorganizing their existing rooms for a more efficient and useful layout. The existing facility consists of a large open barn with horse stalls and exercise area; the remodeled offices, kitchen, restroom, and storage areas are also located within the barn. The challenge was to add office area without subtracting area from other spaces and while maintaining access. The design satisfies the needs of the program and improves access by bringing the restroom into ADA compliance and providing offices at the ground level.
