Division Street Shelter

The Division Street Shelter project was a joint effort by the City of Bend and Neighbor Impact to convert the old Bend Value Inn on Division St in Bend, Oregon, into a transitional apartment housing for a houseless relief initiative. The project also includes upgrades to the parking and outdoor public areas surrounding the property. The objective of the project was to provide transitional apartment housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the Bend community. The property was transformed into a safe and secure space, complete with private apartments, communal spaces, and access to support services. The apartments feature private bathrooms, and living areas, providing a comfortable and dignified living environment for residents. In addition to the transitional apartments, the project included upgrades to the parking and outdoor public areas. The parking lot was resurfaced and improved for better vehicle movement. The outdoor public areas were landscaped and designed to create a welcoming and attractive environment for both residents and visitors.

2^nd Street Lighthouse Navigation Center

The 2nd Street Lighthouse Navigation Center project is a collaborative effort between the City of Bend and Shepherd's House to transform the existing warming/cooling shelter on 2nd St in Bend, Oregon, into a fully functioning navigation center. The project will add new amenities, such as showers, laundry services, multi-user restrooms, and day use areas, to the facility. The objective of the project is to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals experiencing homelessness in the Bend community. The navigation center will serve as a central hub for a range of support services, including case management, mental health services, substance abuse treatment, and employment assistance. The addition of new amenities will improve the quality of life for residents and help facilitate the transition out of homelessness. The 2nd Street Lighthouse Navigation Center project will provide much-needed support and services to individuals experiencing homelessness in the Bend community. The addition of new amenities will create a safe, welcoming, and functional space that supports the transition out of homelessness and improves the overall well-being of residents.
