The La Pine Library is centrally located and near schools. It is a popular destination for all ages and is especially bustling after school with students. The planned renovation creates a bright and open space that welcomes the entire community with amenities including meeting/tutor rooms, an enhanced children’s discovery space, a cozy fireplace and reading area, and a large community gathering space. Construction is under way completion scheduled for Fall 2023. Steele Associates is the architect of record, and The Miller Hull Partnership is the design architect.

Plans call for a robust remodel which will feature more public spaces, additional meeting rooms, and a DIY space. This will be the last library in the Deschutes Public Library System to be remodeled, with construction work to begin Winter 2025.
