Steele Associates Building II

This 16,000 SF mixed-use building was our headquarters and was the first commercial building in Bend to achieve a LEED Gold NC Certification. We are strong advocates and practitioners of sustainable design and that is why we chose to lead by example with our own LEED NC Gold Certified building. As a community service and to facilitate sustainable design education our building was open for public tours.

At the fifth annual BetterBricks Awards held October 2007 Scott Steele, the President of Steele Associates Architects, was selected as the winner of the “Emerging Leader” category. The judge’s comments on Scott’s award: “Scott demonstrates leadership qualities in energy innovation and sustainable design with a breadth and depth of work that is outstanding. He has a commitment beyond his own portfolio, and that speaks to a willingness to go above and beyond expectations. He is truly a leader in a market that is emerging in its reputation for energy efficient design.”
