COCC Crook County Open Campus

Prineville, OR

Steele Associates worked with Crook County, Oregon State University and COCC to design this new building which provides higher education opportunities in Crook County. The campus in Prineville opened in 2011 and is the product of a collaborative partnership between Crook County and COCC. The Prineville campus is an integral part of the Crook County community offering credit classes, adult basic skills programming, workforce training, and continuing education opportunities. The campus includes a computer lab that is open to COCC students and the general public, high-speed internet access, a quiet study room, four traditional classrooms, a conference room, and a teaching kitchen.

“I wanted to send a note to express our appreciation for the work you and your firm are providing to Crook County, OSU Extension Service, Central Oregon Community College and all the other partners involved in creating a facility for the delivery of ‘Oregon Open Campus’. Steele Associates’ knowledge and expertise in designing educational facilities has made our process go very smoothly. Your staff’s expertise is leading us to a project for which this community will have considerable pride.”
